What sort of ID do I need?
You will need two forms of ID:
Primary ID - This is photo ID such as your Drivers license, Passport (Australian or Foreign), or Proof of Age card.
Secondary ID - This is ID that has been issued to you by a Government or Registered institution, such as a Medicare Card, ATM card, Or mail you have received from a reputable source (and to your residential address) within the past 3 months, (such as a bank statement, Utilities bill, Government letter, healthcare letter, infringement notice etc.)
Please be sure that your ID is current and and in a reasonable condition, so that the information can be clearly read and understood. Examples of ID we do not accept include:
ID that is damaged to the point it cannot be read
Expired ID
Suspended ID (example: if you are suspended from driving, your Drivers License cannot be verified)
ID issued in a country other than Australia (excluding passports)
ID that is not listed above
How do I verify if I am not an Australian Citizen?
Customers who are in Australia on a studying or working VISA are still welcome to use our service, however you may only provide the following ID:
Passport
Reciprocal health care/medicare card
Interim medicare card
Mail you have received from a reputable source (and to your residential address) within the past 3 months, (such as a bank statement, Utilities bill, Government letter, healthcare letter, infringement notice etc.)
How should I take the photos?
When verifying your ID you will be asked to provide two photos; one of your ID in front of the trade screen, and one next to your face (like a selfie). It should look something like this:

Some other things to keep in mind when providing your ID include:
You should have 4 photos in total (1 x Primary ID + Selfie, 1 x Primary ID + Trade Screen, 1 x Secondary ID + Selfie, and 1 x Secondary ID + Trade Screen)
Make sure the photo is clear, and not blurry or distorted
Be sure you are in a well lit area, as camera flashes can often distort ID's with reflective holograms
Your face should be seen clearly in your selfie
Key features can be clearly seen in the trade chat such as the trade ID and the trade chat showing the date and timestamps of the most recent messages.
The photos are not edited in any way including, cropping, or filters.
The information on your ID is not blurred or covered in any way - unless the information is not relevant to the verification process (for example, you may cover the numbers of your ATM card, or other family members names on a medicare card)
Do not reuse photos you have sent with other traders or services. Photos must be current and taken all at the same time
If your photos or your ID do not meet these requirements to a satisfactory measure, you will be asked to resubmit new photos or ID. Failure to do so can result in a hold being placed on your Bitcoin. If you are still unable to complete these requirements, you will need to contact your bank and have them conduct a "Trace and Recall" to get your money back. There may be costs involved in this process which you will be liable for, as well as hefty waiting times!
How is my information stored?
Photos are stored safely and securely offline, to ensure the best protection for your documents and identifiable information. Under new regulatory guidelines, your information must be kept on file for 7 years, since your last trade (regardless of whether that trade was processed or cancelled). You may at any time, update your details using the contact page.
